Sitges Film Festival 2017 – Festival overview

Time goes fast when you are in a fun and intense festival as Sitges Film Festival. And this year it was no different.

This is a fast overview of the 10 days of the festival. Many star guests like Takashi Miike, Susan Sarandon, Udo Kier, Guillermo del Toro, Dario Argento or William Friedkin delighted the fans worldwide visiting the little town with their presence and charisma. Always with a smile on their face, knowing that they are part of one of the best genre festivals in the world.

Day 1 – The arrival.

Day 2 – Premiere of Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water (2017).

Day 3 – Zombie Walk.

Day 4 –Special screenings for Suspiria (1977), The Exorcist (1973) and Sorcerer (1977) with Dario Argento and William Friedkin.

Day 5 – Shopping day and more film screenings.

Day 6 – Udo Kier gets the Time Machine Award.

Day 7 – Hélène Cattet & Bruno Forzani present Laissez Bronzer le Cadavres (2017).

Day 8 – We test Virtual Reality with Campfire Creepers: The Skull of Sam (2017).

Day 9 – A day with Takashi Miike.

Day 10 – Closure and awards.
