The sequel for the successful (although rather disappointing) The Strangers (2008) is already in the state of post-production. Recently, we have had the chance to see published the first teaser for the movie, provisionally called The Strangers 2 but with the final title Strangers: Prey at Night (2018).
The writer and director of the original film, Bryan Bertino, also wrote a first draft for this sequel, that was been rewritten by Ben Ketai, the co-writer of The Forest (2016) and 30 Days of Night: Dark Days (2010). Like this, Bertino has been unattached from the final result of the sequel. The direction of the film has vested on Johannes Roberts, director of the very interesting Storage 24 (2012).
As the original movie had its most attractive cast member in Liv Tyler, in Strangers: Prey at Night (2018) the attention falls on Christina Hendricks. Together with her, Bailee Madison, Martin Henderson, Lewis Pullman, Emma Bellomy, Damian Maffei, Lea Enslin, Preston Sadleir and Leah Roberts complete the main cast.
In Strangers: Prey at Night (2018), a family’s road trip takes a dangerous turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park to stay with some relatives and find it mysteriously deserted. Under the cover of darkness, three masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test the family’s every limit as they struggle to survive.
