The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016) [read our review here] still remains as one of the most frightening, dark and intense horror films of the last decade. This time it is a cop that just got out of rehab who takes the graveyard shift in a city hospital morgue, and she faces a series of bizarre, violent events caused by an evil entity in one of the corpses. A shocking exorcism spirals out of control, claiming the life of a young woman. Months later, Megan Reed takes the case of the disfigured cadaver of a young woman. Locked alone inside the basement corridors, the troubled coroner begins to experience horrifying visions and starts to suspect that the body may be possessed by a ruthless demonic force.
The Possession of Hannah Grace (2018), originally called Cadaver in its early stages of production, is directed by Diederik Van Rooijen, an experienced filmmaker responsible of many TV series and feature films of mysterious and crime subjects. Brian Sieve, who has participated in screenplays of fantasy related TV series like Scream: The TV Series (2015– ) and Teen Wolf (2011–2017), is the author of the movie script. Shay Mitchell, Grey Damon, Kirby Johnson, Louis Herthum, J.P. Valenti, James A. Watson Jr., Lexie Roth, Jacob Ming-Trent, Gijs Scholten van Aschat and Stana Katic form the main cast.
