Online stalkers, virtual murderers and all kinds of psychos using the internet and the social networks as the vehicle to satisfy their darkest perversions. New technologies have opened a huge door for filmmakers to create new paths to achieve what horror movies have always intended: to disturb us and scare the shit out of us. Now it’s the time for a very modest independent film called Night (2019).
The plot of Night (2019) is as simple as it can be effective. A young girl is kidnapped by a strange man, who forces her to be the star of his sick and twisted live stream. The movie is the work of the newcomer Nicholas Michael Jacobs. He acts as a real jack of all trades being the director, writer, producer, editor, cinematographer and even reserving a role for himself. Completing the cast are Alexis Beacher, Danielle Iannucci, and Gianna Jacobs.
Night (2019) was produced with a very modest estimated budget of $1,000, and reportedly the film was shot and edited over the course of seven stressful nights. Now the movie is available in some Video on Demand channels. Here you can watch its official trailer:
