If you are the kind that has fear of clowns, I think 2017 is not goint to be your year. Because if you didn’t have enough with the remake of the adventures of evil clown Pennywise on It (2017), now it’s the turn for Clowntergeist (2016). This time, Ribcage the Clown is possessed by an evil spirit and starts to bring mayhem into a little american town using a kind of as funny as terrifying technique: he leaves to the victims balloons with a message saying how and when demon clown is going to murder them. What a bad joke if that ever happened to you, eh?
Clowntergeist (2016) is the debut film of writer and director Aaron Mirtes, who despite his young age already has a long experience in short films. At his orders he had unknown faces for the big audience like Brittany Belland, Monica Baker, Burt Culver, Johnjay Fitih, Caitlin Rigney and Eric Corbin in the role of Ribcage the Clown.
Anyway, I don’t understand why people have fear of clowns. They are boring but I don’t know about scary, honestly. But maybe this b-movie title can make many of us change our mind. For the moment, here is the official trailer for everyone to watch:
