It was 2000 when actor Hugh Jackman first got in the bones of mutan superhero The Wolverine for the first incarnation in the X-Men franchise. And since then, there’s been multiple times he has played that role, either starring the movie or just a mere cameo. But after all we are humans, not mutants, and time is our fiercest enemy. At the age of 48, this is the last time the australian actor will play the role. At least, that’s what the productors and Jackman himself say.

His final film will be Logan (2017), which is ready to come out in theatres early this March, and these last days we got in our hands a couple of new images.

Together with Hugh Jackman, names like Patrick Stewart, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Doris Morgado, Stephen Merchant and Richard E. Grant complete the cast of this new adventure directed by James Mangold (who is not foreign to the character, since he directed The Wolverine (2013)).

In the near future, an aging Wolverine and Professor X must protect a young female clone of Wolverine from an evil organization led by Nathanial Essex.”

Check out the new images and the trailer, and get ready for the farewell of one of the best incarnations of comic book characters ever witnessed.
