Michael Madsen is better known for his appearances in most of Quentin Tarantino movies, from the director’s debut film Reservoir Dogs (1992) where he played the evil Vic Vega aka Mr. Blonde, to being one of the people to kill by The Bride in the Kill Bill movies, and also taking part in supporting roles in other films like The Hateful Eight (2015) and Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood (2019). But he also has his fans accustomed to seeing him in many low-budget action and horror movies like Burial Ground Massacre (2021).
Horror slasher Burial Ground Massacre (2021) centers on a group of college students that spend a night at an old, eerie manor, only to realize that a terrifying stalker is watching their every move as he begins plans to repossess an ancient Native American artifact located inside.
The movie has been directed by David Gere, being this his debut feature film, and Daniel Dahlstrom, who was already responsible for horror and slasher Pinwheel (2017). Eric Weinstock, the writer of Blood Circus (2017) and TV movie A Dangerous Date (2018), has been in charge of the screenplay together with co-director David Gere.
Aside from Michael Madsen, professional wrestler Vinny Marseglia also lead the main cast. Together with them, Chelsea Vale, Chris Whitcomb, Blaise Serra, Travis Gordon, Kara Curnane Joseph, Brittany Toczko, Christopher C. Romero, A.J. Bernardo, and Sarah Elizabeth Jensen also star.
