In the era of sequels, remakes and reboots of 1980s horror classics, it was easy to expect sooner or later to be the turn of Chucky. The evil doll star of the franchise that started with Child’s Play (1988) has it’s own episode in the works. At lest, this time the continuity is warrantied since Don Mancini will be the writer/director of this new episode. He was the writer of the original film, and also the responsable of some of its sequels. So we could say Chucky stays behind the shadow of his father, which is always good news.
This new film will be starred by both old and new faces in the franchise. The cast already sounds quite appetizing, with names like Fiona Dourif, Jennifer Tilly, Alex Vincent, Zak Santiago or Summer H. Howell.
Will this be one of the few ones to give sense to this sequels fever we’ve been tortured with for the last decades? We will know soon. For the moment, find here the traser trailer:
