Dolph Lundgren stars the movie adaptation of the "Dead Trigger" video game

One of our most favorite action stars is going to head the cast for the movie adaptation of the video game Dead Trigger. Dead Trigger was a zombie-themed first-person survival horror video game developed and published by Madfinger Games. It was released in June 2012 for iOS and Android mobile devices. The game is single-player only. A sequel, Dead Trigger 2, was released in 2013. The game achieved very good reviews and got over 30 million downloads, so it is fair to say it has a good loyal base of followers.

The game is set in a world where a plague of an unknown source has killed billions of people and many others turned into dangerous creatures. The rest of humanity is desperately trying to survive in this world. Kyle Walker, the protagonist of the game, meets a group of survivors led by Julian Lassagne that created a colony known as New Hope. He joins them and helps them survive. The group also finds a government-run underground bunker and slowly searches it floor by floor. They eventually find out that the plague was planned by a wealthy group. The storyline ends as Julian and Kyle decide to go after them.

The movie adaptation Dead Trigger (2017) is directed by Mike Cuff and Scott Windhauser, based on the story by Heinz Treschnitzer. Dolph Lundgren stars playing the role of Kyle Walker. With him, the main cast is completed by pop singer Bleona, Brandon Beemer, Derek Boone, Tamara Braun, Ethan Breinholt, Toby Bronson, Luciana Carro and James Chalke in the role of Father Julian Lassagne.

The movie is already completed and was screened at the Moscow International Film Festival this past summer, where it got a warm reception. Other release dates are still yet to be confirmed. In the meantime, check out the official trailer for Dead Trigger (2017) here:
