Trailer for Spanish horror thriller "El Pacto"

El Pacto (2018) (the English translation would be “The Pact”, no official international name yet) is a Spanish movie about a woman called Mónica whose daughter dies suddenly. But she doesn’t give up and starts a quest that will take her to the very hell to try to avoid losing her precious child.

This is the debut feature film for Catalan writer and director David Victori, who has co-written the screenplay together with Jordi Vallejo. Victori achieved some recognition after winning some festivals with his latest work, the short film Zero (2015). Produced by Ridley Scott and Michael Fassbender under the company Scott Free, this science fiction drama tells the story of a boy and his father who are emotionally and physically separated on the day earth intermittently loses gravity.

For his debut on the big screen, David Victori has joined forces with actress Belén Rueda, who you might recognize for being the star of horror dramas The Orphanage (2007), by J.A. Bayona, and Julia’s Eyes (2010), produced by Guillermo del Toro. Mireia Oriol, Darío Grandinetti, Antonio Durán ‘Morris’, Josean Bengoetxea, Carlus Fàbrega, Vanessa Buchaca and Sebastian Montecino complete the main cast. The movie was filmed entirely in Barcelona.

Sony Pictures Spain released the first teaser trailer for El Pacto (2018) last week. You can check it out here. And as the voice says at the end, “What are you willing to do to not lose her?“.
